The Web3 Student Talk management team ("we" or "us") complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan and other applicable laws, and sets out this Privacy Policy (this "Policy") for how we handle the personal information of users of our official website (https://web3student-talk.com, the "Website") and of our Discord server, X Spaces and other community activities (the "Community").

We may collect the following information:

- 3Information provided by team members for their profile pages (display name, age, stage of life, self-introduction, etc.)
- 4Other information provided to us in the course of running the Community
Article 2 (Purposes of Use)
We use the information we collect for the following purposes. Except where permitted by law, we will not use it beyond these purposes without your consent.
- 1Responding to and communicating about your inquiries
- 2Operating and improving the Website and the Community, and analyzing how they are used
- 3Informing you about events and similar activities
- 4Creating and publishing team member profile pages (only to the extent the member has agreed)
- 5Dealing with violations of the Terms of Use and the Community Rules
- 6Work incidental to any of the above
Article 3 (Third-Party Services)
We use the following external services to run the Website, and information is sent to or stored by their providers. Each provider handles information in accordance with its own privacy policy.
- Vercel (Vercel Inc., United States): used for hosting the Website and for analytics (Vercel Web Analytics). Vercel Web Analytics does not use cookies and aggregates page views without identifying individuals.
- Supabase (Supabase Inc., United States): used to manage news articles, to store the contents of the contact form, and for our own access analytics. Inquiries can be viewed only from our admin panel. For analytics we store the date and time of access, the pages viewed, the referring site, the browser and device type, and the country and prefecture-level region. IP addresses are not stored, and the data is not used to identify individuals.
- Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc., United States): used to prevent automated (bot) submissions of the contact form. To make this check, your IP address, browser and device information, and similar data are sent to Cloudflare.
Because these providers are located outside Japan (in the United States), information you enter in the contact form is provided to third parties in a foreign country. For information on the personal data protection system in the United States, please see the website of the Personal Information Protection Commission of Japan.
Article 4 (Cookies and Similar Technologies)
The Website uses a cookie (NEXT_LOCALE) to remember your language setting, and your browser's session storage to control the opening animation on the top page and to hold a random per-tab identifier used to count visits in our access analytics. These are not used to identify individuals.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features of the Website may not work properly as a result.
Article 5 (Provision to Third Parties)
We will not provide personal information to third parties without your consent, except in the following cases:
- 1Where required by law
- 2Where necessary to protect a person's life, body or property and it is difficult to obtain your consent
- 3Where it accompanies the use of the external services described in Article 3
Article 6 (Security)
We work to prevent the leakage, loss or damage of personal information, for example by limiting the team members who can access it to the minimum necessary.
Article 7 (Minors)
If you are a minor, please use the contact form and other features of the Website with the consent of a parent or guardian.
Article 8 (Requests for Disclosure, Correction or Deletion)
If you request disclosure, correction, addition, deletion or suspension of use of your personal information, we will respond promptly and to a reasonable extent after confirming your identity.
Requests to change or remove information published on team member profile pages are handled in the same way.
Article 9 (Contact)
For inquiries about this Policy, please contact us through the Contact page of the Website.
Article 10 (Changes to This Policy)
We may revise this Policy as necessary. The revised Policy takes effect when it is posted on the Website.
